First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
======================
This is a poem, written by Martin Niemoller, priest and leader of anti-NAZI clergymen in Germany in World War II. As you may already guess, "they" refers to NAZI party.
Apathy is the 8th deadly sin, and it is a silent killer.
Ditulis di hari peringatan,
namun bukan untuk memperingati,
keluarnya Surat Perintah Sebelas Maret.
